- The Philippine National Police is in the process of collecting evidence against teachers who are suspected of supporting rebellion. After the completion of evidence gathering, PNP chief, Police General Oscar Albayalde said they will take the matter to the court and the Professional Regulatory Commission to have the licenses of the rogue educators be revoked.
- An executive order implementing the normalization program under the Bangsamoro peace agreement between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is expected to be released soon.
- Former presidential political adviser and senatorial candidate Francis Tolentino called on local government units to declare a state of calamity in anticipation of the El Niño phenomenon.
- Malaysia joins the International Criminal Court in a boost for the beleaguered institution at a time it faces growing criticism.
- Facebook has banned political advertisements from outside Indonesia ahead of the country’s presidential poll, just weeks after being heavily criticized by the European Union for not doing enough to counter election meddling.
- A bombshell report revealed that Fox News has been providing assistance to Donald Trump, both while he was a candidate and his time as the US President. The New Yorker reported that Fox News leaked questions to Trump before primary debates, overlooked employees working directly with Trump's communication team to develop messaging strategy, and buried the Stormy Daniels story before the election.
