- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte recently said he was not angry with the United States but was “wary” about its style of diplomatic engagement. The President talked about the “disappointment” with America during an administration campaign rally in Koronadal City, South Cotabato last Tuesday.
- Two Thailand frigates arrived at Pier 15, South Harbor, Manila, for a four-day goodwill visit to the Philippines.
- The Department of Justice began its preliminary investigation against a suspected member of the Abu Sayyaf terrorist.
- A state trooper in the US state of Illinois was fataly struck in a crash in Freeport.
- British MPs prepare to vote for Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal for the third time. The embattled Prime Minister trimmed the deal to just the withdrawal agreement, which drew opposition by the DUP and the Labour Party.
- The United States has given the green light to companies to work on six nuclear projects in Saudi Arabia, Energy Secretary Rick Perry said, despite lawmakers’ worries that the kingdom could seek weapons.
- Mexico raised the warning level for the Popocatepetl volcano to one step shy of a red alert after it repeatedly spewed ash, smoke and lava into the air. “Popo,” as locals in central Mexico call the volcano with a mixture of affection and fear, has been acting up in recent days.
- Former Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai steps down from his chairman position this summer.
- The BanG Dream! franchise gets a movie version this September. In addition, third season's delayed to January 2020.
- The Promised Neverland anime series renewed for another season next year.
- The F1 2019 video game, hitting this June 2019, allows players to create custom liveries.
- The latest GT SPORT update was now live, adding Super Formula vehicles and KERS/DRS functions on existing cars.
