- A tropical depression off the Pacific coast may make landfall over Davao Oriental and bring rains over parts of Mindanao early next week. According to PAGASA, the tropical depression, to be named Chedeng, was located 1,505 kilometers east of Mindanao and was still outside the country’s area of responsibility.

- With several politicians named in the narco-list complaining about their inclusion, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency vouched for the accuracy of the “shame roster”, claiming it went through vigorous, meticulous and sufficient verification and revalidation process for 14 months.
