- Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito G. Galvez Jr. said the men and women of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process mourn the passing of Bangsamoro Transition Authority member and Moro Islamic Liberation Front Vice Chairman Ghazali Jaafar. Jaafar, former chairman of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission, passed away at 1 a.m. Wednesday in a hospital in Davao City.

- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines is not considering banning the use of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 to and from the country. Singapore, Malaysia, China, Fiji, and New Zealand are just some of the countries that suspended the use of the B737 MAX8 while South American countries are evaluating shutting their airspace to the said aircraft.

- A Chinese survey team conducting a feasibility study on the Panay-Negros Bridge project rescued two Filipino fishermen after their boat capsized off Guimaras Strait last March 1.

- The FBI and federal prosecutors have uncovered a massive bribery scheme to get students admitted to elite universities as recruited athletes and help them cheat on college entrance exams to gain admission.

- Hollywood actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are among 50 people charged in a $25 million college entrance exam cheating scheme, according to court documents unsealed in Boston.
