- The La Mesa Dam has reached its critical level of 68.93 meters, just 0.18 meters short of its record-low 68.75 meters registered in 1998.
- Manila Water officials says water interruptions could last throughout summer season. Jeric Sevilla Jr., head of the company’s corporate communications said that the water interruptions were due mainly to the low supply in the two major reservoirs Angat Dam and La Mesa Dam.
- The P704-million NAIA runway repair to be completed ahead of its March 15 deadline. “I am glad that we are completing the project way ahead of its original schedule which is July 2019, just in time for the expected peak this summer,” MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal said.
- Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is due to give birth this Spring to her first child with husband Prince Harry. The baby, who will be seventh in line to the British throne, is expected in April after Meghan, 37, disclosed she was six months pregnant in January.
- Venezuela blackout has reached its 4th day.
- Ethiopian Airlines said it had grounded its Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet after a crash that killed 149 passengers and eight crew. “Following the tragic accident of ET 302… Ethiopian Airlines has decided to ground all B-737-8 MAX fleet effective yesterday, March 10, until further notice,” the state-owned carrier said in a statement released on Twitter.
