The Spaniel Jumper I saw on The Grand Tour, it was the Alumi Craft Class 10, an extreme offroad buggy that turns people who are not interested to offroading into ones that love it. In fact, there's so much to love about the Class 10 Race Car from Alumi Craft.
First tried in earlier Horizon adventures a few years ago, then making a comeback in the UK on Forza Horizon 4, the Alumi Craft Class 10 is made to comply to Class 10 regulations, those that allow unlimited suspension travel but only use limited displacement engines such as General Motors-derived 2.4L ECOTEC engine mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
Although it produces less than 200 horses, the Class 10 Race Car is surprisingly lightweight and sturdy enough to survive punishing offroad conditions.
Couple that with shaved BFGoodrich Baja tires and different suspension setups that fits with the drivetrain of their choice and the result is an offroader that feels like you're learning to be in the first place. This is all about getting introduced to extreme offroading for a change.
Alumi Craft Race Cars are known for dominating every single offroad competition, meaning there is some racing pedigree into it so while I'm busy with my Fortune Island adventures, let's see if I can translate the Alumi Craft's pedigree into action by placing my Spaniel Jumper to a race in a middle of a stormy night. Sounds scary but challenge accepted anyway.
Man, that really is a wild ride out there for the Spaniel Jumper but anyway, I'd like to call it mission accomplished for the Alumi Craft Class 10.
For an offroader that doesn't have a windscreen, the Alumi Craft Class 10 is all about turning skeptics into enthusiasts. It may not be as extreme as the other guys but it's a start for people who want to experience what it's like to go offroading in the first place and with that, I have no regrets with it.
