- The Quezon City Regional Trial Court has denied the appeal of Maguindanao massacre principal accused Andal Ampatuan Jr., to reconsider its previous order that excluded five of the documentary exhibits he presented as evidence with regards to the 58 counts of murder charges filed against him.
- The cyclone with international name “Wutip” off the Pacific Ocean has further intensified into a severe tropical storm but remains too far to affect any part of the Philippines. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration estimated the location of Wutip at 2,775 kilometers east of Mindanao or outside the country’s area of responsibility around Thursday morning.
