- Re-electionist Senator Sonny Angara has called on the Department of Health to ensure that there is a stable supply of measles vaccines in the country, particularly in areas where there are outbreaks of the highly contagious disease.

- The Philippine National Police expects number of hotspot areas to increase once campaign period for local candidates starts. But PNP spokesman Senior Supt. Bernard Banac said the public has nothing to worry about since they were able to identify the areas where election-related conflicts might happen. He cited this fact as proof that they are active in monitoring the security situation in every town and city of the country.

- The Bureau of Immigration detained the Chinese student who splashed a cup of taho on a police officer during an argument at an MRT station last Saturday.

- The US Senate voted to break the Democratic filibuster of the nomination of William Barr to be the next US attorney general. The 55-to-44 vote split on partisan lines with only three Democrats voting to advance Trump's nominee. Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Doug Jones of Alabama and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona joined Republicans to support Barr's nomination. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky was the only Republican to vote no.

- Macedonia officially renamed itself as North Macedonia. The freshly named country celebrated the event with a flag-raising ceremony marking its prospective – and long-awaited – accession to NATO. Under cloudy skies, the military alliance’s distinctive flag was hoisted outside the main government building in Skopje, the former Yugoslav republic’s capital.

- The Australian government would reopen a mothballed island detention camp in anticipation of a new wave of asylum seekers arriving by boat after Parliament passed legislation that would give sick asylum seekers easier access to mainland hospitals.

- Land Rover unveiled a special Range Rover Sport HST variant featuring a mild hybrid powertrain based on the company’s all-new 3.0 litre straight-six Ingenium petrol engine.



- The BMW X3 M and X4 M are unveiled along with its powerful Competition variants armed with a 510hp 3.0L 6-cylinder turbocharged engine mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic and M xDrive.



- The last Yoroz Mart retail store, located at Fukuoka, will be closing this February 24 as the official chain selling Yo-Kai Watch and LEVEL5 goods began closing stores last year.

- Sony reveals reason why they will not participate at the E3 2019.
