ABB FIA Formula E S5: Mexico City ePrix

The Mexico City ePrix of the fifth season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship is becoming one of the most intense races in history, and it's so intense, the endgame is going to be worth remembering for the fans.

While Nelson Piquet Jr.'s huge crash involving Jean-Eric Vergne and Alexander Sims is someone made this race tense although the drivers were fine but the red flag was dropped, what's even more intense is the endgame as just as we thought Pascal Wehlrein's going to defend his lead from Lucas di Grassi with only a few seconds of charge left to go before his final sprint to the finish line, the juice is out for Wehlrein and Di Grassi snagged the checkered flag from him, making him the winner of this season's Mexico City ePrix. Antonio Felix da Costa finished 2nd and Edoardo Mortana's in 3rd place.

The Audi contender made a big upset at Mexico City as well as setting this race's best lap time of 1:01.277. With Mexico ePrix all wrapped up, let's check the standings. So far, Jerome D'Ambrosio leads with 53 points while Da Costa's in 2nd with 46 points and Sam Bird's a point behind da Costa.

The next race is at Hong Kong this 10th of March.
