What to see at the MMFF 2018?

The 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival has arrived and all eight entries are now playing in select cinemas across the Philippines, meaning those who are spending their Christmas vacation in the Philippines finally found some time to do by watching one of the eight entries of the 2018 MMFF. So, what are the rundown of the eight entries of this year's film fest that runs throughout the rest of our Christmas vacation?





1) Aurora - directed by Yam Laranas and starring Anne Curtis, this film is about a young woman whose mission is to find the dead bodies of the passengers of the ship which was crashed in their hometown's rocky shores.

2) Fantastica - Starring Vice Ganda, Dingdong Dantes, and Richard Gutierez, this comedy flick is about a family who are joining forces with magical creatures to save their carnival from closing.

3) Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles - Vic Sotto, Maine Mendoza, and Coco Martin team up for the first time in this buddy cop flick about them on patrol, trying to stop crime by all means necessary, well almost.

4) Mary, Marry Me - Real life sisters Toni and Alex Gonzaga are struggling for the one to love in this dramatic movie directed by RC Delos Reyes.

5) One Great Love - This is Regal Entertainment's ace in the hole for this year's festival and its a dramatic film about a young woman in a failed relationship trying to give it one more try only to find herself with doubt over her life choices. It is directed by Eric Quizon and starring Kim Chiu, Dennis Trillo, and JC De Vera.

6) Otlum - What's an MMFF be without a horror film to the mix? This horror film, directed by Joven Tan, is about a group of friends who dares each other to stay in the haunted house.

7) Rainbow Sunset - Directed by Joel Lamangan, this thought-provoking drama film sees Eddie Garcia playing the role of a retired senator who comes out as gay and temporarily leaves his wife and family to care for his best friend and love who is dying of cancer.

8) The Girl in the Orange Dress - This film is written and directed by Jay Abello and stars Jericho Rosales and Jessy Mendiola. It's about a conservative girl who wakes up in a hotel room with the biggest actor in the country. Not knowing on how did she ended up here, she tries to find a way to escape the hotel without letting the fans and the media swarming the hotel.
