The Miss Universe 2018 pageant was held in Impact Arena, located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, and this pageant became a sign of a new order because for the first time in history, a transgender was represented in this year's pageant and it's none other than Miss Spain Angela Ponce.
Despite not being at the top spot, she really made headlines for being the first transgender to compete in Miss Universe and that really is a rule-changer the world's looking forward to.
The biggest headline of the pageant is, for the fourth time, Philippines won Miss Universe as Catriona Gray takes home the crown, eclipsing the likes of Tamaryn Green of South Africa and Sthefany Gutierrez of Venezuela, especially Vietnam's H'hen Nie and Puerto Rico's Kiara Ortega.
Answering the Top 3 question regarding the most important lesson she learned in her life and how she would apply it to her time as Miss Universe, Gray said "I've always taught myself to look at the beauty of the faces in the children & to be grateful. If I could teach people to be grateful. If I could teach people to be grateful, we could have an amazing world where negativity would not grow and foster and children would have a smile on their face."
