Fortune Island is here and drivers who got bored with all of their Great Britain adventures can now jump to the bandwagon and tackle on the most thrilling adventure yet as severe lightning storms makes it more like they're in a disaster movie while fighting for hidden treasures that scattered underneath the most treacherous place in Horizon.
At the start of their Fortune Island journey, players get to drive their first car of the trip, the Ram Rebel TRX Concept, and offroad-oriented vision of Ram's supercharged Raptor beater that didn't see the light of day. Although it never went to production, the Ram Rebel TRX Concept sure knows how to play rough with its supercharged V8 engine and unique offroad capabilities that can upset the Raptors. This pickup truck really goes like a T-REX, hence the name.
To check out what Fortune Island has to offer, I took on the first riddle which involves driving this truck to the festival's speeed zone and then smash the treasure chest located at the southern part of Westwich. Plain easy, huh? Got my first million credits in Fortune Island. Still, after my first treasure claimed, I tried one of its races to find out just how dreadful Fortune Island is.
After my first hours with Fortune Island, I'm off to the second round and take a look what I've got there.
This is the Lamborghini Urus. Not the concept one, the real deal. To get that, I have to clear the second treasure hunt which involves drifting at the Needle Climb drift zone with the Ferrari 458 and then going to Giant's Dolmen to smash it. Not only I got another million credits but I also got this car as well.
The Urus, Lamborghini's return to the SUV since the iconic LM002, is more of a departure to the traditional Lamborghini mantra because it's surprisingly run on the same platform used on today's Cayenne and Bentayga and the engine that powers it is a 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo engine sourced from the Porsche Cayenne Turbo but uprooted to produce 650PS of power and 850Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed AT, the Urus does 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds and flatout, it will do 305kph. Faster than the Jeep Trackhawk, of course.
Not surprisingly a true Lamborghini by the way it behaves but as an SUV, it really tickles my fancies as an all-rounder that delivers sportscar performance with added practicality and room for Miss Boss Madam, as I speak. With that, let's demonstrate how good the Urus is.
Well, the performance did speak for the Urus. Wasn't great for a Lamborghini but as an SUV, I am glad that I drove the real deal. Man, it feels good to be one with the Urus. Thank the producers for that.
At this point, I was going to call it a day and rest up before heading out to Fortune Island for more but then, I have a brainwave that I want to do one more.
As you can see, this is the old Civic CRX Mugen that I claimed from the Forzathon prize shop. This retro JDM masterpiece is one of the main reasons why a sporty Honda like this remains a favorite among speedo boys worldwide, something that makes a lot of noise than an Italian exotic in the woods. It's basically the Ballade Sports CR-X with a 1.5L petrol engine in it but it has been kitted out with some Mugen parts on it not just the aero but there's a Mugen camshaft, valves, and springs. Although being a prototype, it's still a wowing the crowd like chimps on the dinner table.
To see if the Mugen CRX is still pretty much like every best Hondas in history, I took it for a spin.
Well, what do you know? This retro hot hatch still has its groove to wake the neighbors just like every other speedo boy Honda zooming through the streets.
So, with my first day as a Fortune Island trekker done, I took some time off and then prepared for the next adventure. So, what challenges do I take next in Fortune Island? With Fortune Island, I have so much work to do whether if its here or back home. That sounds like too much for me but with a lot of cars on my side, feels like I have the confidence to take on different challenges ahead.
The adventure continues...
