- The United Arab Emirates government has called on all undocumented foreigners, including Filipinos, to take advantage of the one-month extension of the amnesty program or face stiff punishment that may include a fine, jail term and deportation.

- Senate President Vicente Sotto III expressed misgivings about the police’s plan to conduct anti-illegal drugs operations inside universities, saying that it may go beyond the purpose of the country’s current laws.

- Vice President Leni Robredo called on Congress to restore a law that would prohibit premature campaigning. Robredo said Senate and House lawmakers should take a look into the request of the Commission on Elections for the restoration of a law against premature campaigning.
