- Police arrested two people and seized over 400,000 Pesos worth of illegal drugs and a firearm in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City.
- Journalists here and in neighboring areas joined other members of the press across Mindanao on Friday for candle lighting events that were organized to mark the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists.

- Photo-sharing site flickr announced that effective early January, free accounts will be limited to 1,000 photos or videos. In addition, the Flickr Pro subscription service gets an overhaul such as Premier Product Support, partner discounts, 5K photo display option, 10 minute videos, and more. The login's going to be revamp, meaning that there will be no need for a Yahoo account to use Flickr.
