Beginning at Friday's stages, Toyota driver Ott Tanak shows signs of dominance in stages two to six but in Saturday's stages, his reign as the rally leader ended unexpectedly when mechanical issues prompted the Estonian out of the race, giving way to Sebastien Ogier, and managed to fought all the way to Sunday where he was crowned the winner of the Dayinsure Wales Rally after a knife-edge lead fight against Jari-Matti Latvala. Completing the podium is Esapekka Lappi.
With only two events to go, the penultimate WRC 2018 event, the Rally De España, begins on the 25th to the 28th of October, 2018.
