THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un invites inspectors to nuke site
The U.S. State Department says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has invited inspectors to visit to the regime's Punggye-ri nuclear test site so they can confirm it has been completely and irreversibly dismantled.
To make further progress, Kim and Pompeo also agreed to instruct their respective working-level teams to meet soon to intensify discussions on the key remaining issues.
On Monday, the KCNA reported on the meeting, adding Kim expressed his belief that a "good" program will be arranged "sooner or later" for his second summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, according to President Moon Jae-in during the cabinet meeting this morning, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is expected to visit Russia, and Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit North Korea soon. He even said a summit between North Korea and Japan may be possible as well.
