- Police forces across the Philippines were placed under highest security alert status as millions of people are expected to troop to various cemeteries and even on tourist spots for the observance of the All Saints Day and All Souls Day.
- AANGAT TAYO party-list Rep. Neil Abayon wants to abolish nine state firms and 12 agencies to pave the way for the creation of the Department of Investments Promotion.
- The European Parliament will look into the case of the 22 Filipino truck drivers who were found living and working in ghastly conditions in a southern city in Denmark near its border with Germany.
- The United States indicted 10 Chinese, including two intelligence officers, over a five-year scheme to steal technology from US and French aerospace firms by hacking into their computers. The indictments came 20 days after the Department of Justice obtained the unprecedented extradition of a senior Chinese intelligence official from Belgium to stand trial in the United States for running the alleged state-sponsored effort to steal US aviation industry secrets.
- US President Donald Trump continues his attack on Andrew Gillum, a Democrat running for governor of Florida against Republican Ron DeSantis, this time during an interview with Laura Ingraham on FOX News. Trump warns that if Gillum wins the election "Florida will become Venezuela. It will be a disaster." Gillum responded on twitter with some wise words from his grandmother: "never wrestle with a pig."
- Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt on Tuesday announced a major expansion of Britain’s diplomatic network around the world, five months before it leaves the European Union. For the first time, people from outside the civil service will be eligible to become ambassadors as the Foreign Office seeks to swell its numbers by almost 1,000.
- Over 13 million Shiite pilgrims crowded Iraq’s holy city of Karbala Tuesday to mark the annual Arbaeen commemoration, under tight security less than a year after the country declared victory over the Islamic State group.
