Typhoon Rosita, with an international name of Yutu, has now entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 6:30 am on Saturday, October 27, becoming the 18th tropical cyclone for this year, according to PAGASA.

- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has been slammed by several lawmakers after his move of “recycling” appointees such as Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapeña and Maritime Industry Authority Administrator Rey Leonardo Guerrero.

- The Philippine government is asking both local and foreign tourists to implement discipline with the re-opening of Boracay after its six month long rehabilitation. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources advised tourists to keep the island clean and follow the rules and regulations the agency has set.

- The fastest ever McLaren, the Speedtail, was unveiled and with its petrol electric hybrid powertrain and 1,430kg of dry weight, it's capable of reaching up to 250mph of top speed. McLaren limits the production of Speedtail to 106 units and like most limited-production hypercars, it's already sold-out before unveiling at a price of 1.75 million pounds plus tax.

- The NU Lady Bulldogs now holds the longest win streak record in the history of UAAP after a 96-57 win against the UST Growling Tigresses in the UAAP women's basketball tournament.
