2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup - Bank of America Roval 400

Sunday is Judgment Day as the Roval segment of Charlotte Motor Speedway is the setting for the elimination round of the NASCAR Playoffs for the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup series and in this elimination round, the bottom four will be sent packing while the remaining 12 will advance to the next round.

In this Bank of America Roval 400 race, Kyle Larson, who recently got married last week, won Stage 1 of the race and after that, Aric Almirolla got slammed into the wall while Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. got spun. As Ryan Blaney wins Stage 2, the action heats up in the latter part of the race as four or five drivers, including Keselowski and Kyle Larsen got collided head on with the wall and then a big one occurred.

In the final seconds of the race, just as we thought Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex Jr. are hounding themselves to the finish line, their final corner spinout cost them their victory, therefore Ryan Blaney became the surprise winner of the Bank of America Roval 400. What a wild race Roval has!

With Johnson, Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin, and Erik Jones eliminated, the Round of 12 will soldier on to the next stages of the NASCAR playoffs. Next race is at Dover International Speedway for the Gander Outdoors 400 on the 7th of October.
