In Friday's stages, championship leader Thierry Neuville managed to leave 0.3 seconds ahead of title rival Ford's Sebastien Ogier despite his disastrous start. But in Saturday's stages, with disaster struck down Neuville with a few other drivers caught fire, Toyota's Ott Tanak made a shocking lead and that upset made the Estonian winning the Marmaris Rally. He is 22.3 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala while Hayden Paddon took his first podium finish in 3rd place, 1 minute and 46.3 seconds behind Tanak.
With only three events left this season, the next event of the WRC 2018 is the Dayinsure Wales Rally on the 4th to the 7th of October.
