- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte thanks the Israeli government for treating Filipinos good, Duterte made the statement as he kicked off his four-day historic official visit to the Holy Land late Sunday evening, Israel time. During his meeting with around 1,400 members of the Filipino here, Duterte said that he has yet to hear anything negative about the working conditions overseas Filipino workers in Israel.
- Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panel accused President Duterte's critics of distorting his recent rape joke and making a big fuss about it. Panelo has rejected allegations that the President was a misogynist, citing his programs aimed at protecting and advancing women’s rights as well as appointment of women in government.
- Supreme Court spokesman Theodore Te has resigned from his post.
- Japan reportedly halt oil imports from Iran amid fears Washington will sanction countries importing Iranian crude. A second phase of sanctions targeting Iran’s crucial oil industry and banking sector will be reinstated on November 5.
- Former foreign secretary and key Brexit person Boris Johnson penned a renewed attack on Britain’s government, predicting “victory” for the European Union in its negotiations with London. In his latest broadside, Johnson compared talks between the two sides to a rigged wrestling match.
- US President Donald Trump warned Canada that they "will be out" of the trade deal unless it's "fair" to the United States, and he threatened to scrap the current deal should Congress “interfere” with the negotiations. “There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal,” Trump said in one of a series of tweets as he visited his Virginia golf club while three former presidents and a range of political dignitaries attended a Washington memorial for John McCain. Trump wasn’t invited.
- A 200-year-old museum in Rio de Janeiro caught fire, threatening its collection of more than 20 million items ranging from archeological findings to historical memorabilia.
- Chinese e-commerce billionaire Richard Liu was briefly arrested in Minneapolis over sexual misconduct allegations. Records from Hennepin County Jail showed Liu, founder and CEO of Chinese online retail giant JD.com, was arrested over the misconduct allegations late Friday night and released Saturday afternoon.
- McLaren Special Operations unveiled a certification program for customers of a fully restored F1 GTR Longtail 25R machines.
- Seiyuu Miyoko Asou passed away at the age of 92.

- A new Kemono Friends anime is confirmed with auditions being held for a new unit. During an announcement at a certain event, their own Picross game is coming to Nintendo Switch.
