- The Armed Forces of the Philippines assured Filipinos that the military abides by the Constitution and will not take part in any plan to destabilize the government. Spokesperson Marine Col. Edgard Arevalo made the statement to reiterated that the AFP respects the rule of law and court decisions including the case involving opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, a former Philippine Navy officer who is being accused by President Rodrigo Duterte of leading groups out to overthrow his government.

- The Department of Health noted that 15 deaths of children, who were vaccinated with Dengvaxia, may "possibly" be related to the controversial anti-dengue vaccine.
