As Kyle Larson controlled two stages in the race, the race gets, like the track states, too tough to tame and with less than 150 laps remained in the race, we witnessed an unscheduled stop for Daniel Suarez after making hard contact with the wall, trouble for Jimmie Johnson, Jamie McMurray penalized for a commitment line violation, Ryan Newman and Clink Bowyer involved in a crash with debris left to trigger caution, and more.
At the end of the nostalgia-packed race filled with throwback livery and nostalgic vibes, Brad Keselowski earned his first career win in the Bojangles' Southern 500.
Next race is at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard on the 9th of September.
