The start of the ten-week NASCAR Playoffs at the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series began at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400 race and the road for the title starts at Sin City as every twists and turns is a table-turning story to tell.
As the race starts, Kyle Larson's car is facing some mechanical issues, prompting him to go through pit road. A couple of opening laps later, Martin Truex, Jr. wins Stage 1 of the race. Fast forward and then Rob Albright and Erik Jones got involved in a crash. Stage 2 goes to Brad Keselowski and when the final stage begins, huge trouble comes in as Jamie McMurray slammed into the wall. The #34 and the #41 car got crashed as well in later laps.
After one chaotic start to the playoffs, Brad Keselowski wins three-in-a-row, the first to win in this playoffs, and such win marked the 500th win for Team Penske.
With Keselowski secured his first spot for the next round, who will be the next? Next race is at Richmond Raceway for the Federated Auto Parts 400 this 22nd of September.
