THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: North Korea's denuclearization commitment
Returning home from his Southeast Asia trip following the ASEAN regional forum, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho has made clear the regime's commitment to denuclearize.
Although he failed to sit down one-on-one with his North Korean counterpart in Singapore, Pompeo stressed numerous times that lots of conversations are taking place between the two countries.
Meanwhile, CNN reported Monday that North Korea believes there's a strong possibility of a second summit between to leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, a vessel suspected of carrying banned North Korean coal may currently be docked in a South Korean port.
VOA reported Monday that according to MarineTraffic, a Belize-flagged ship, the Jin Long, docked at South Korea's southeastern port of Pohang on Saturday and is still believed to be at the port.
Although satellite images do not clearly show whether the coal has been unloaded in South Korea, VOA says there is evidence that the ship had unloaded coal somewhere.
