- The southwest monsoon would continue to bring rains Tuesday in some parts of Luzon, according to PAGASA. In its 4 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said Western Visayas and northern Palawan would experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.
- MalacaƱang has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Basilan and pledged to bring the culprits to justice. Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque has branded the deadly attack as a “war crime” in violation of the local and international humanitarian laws in relation to an armed conflict.
- Former Ambassador Apolinario "Jun" Lozada has passed away at the age of 67 due to a "brain hemorrhage." Lozada was a member of the House of Representatives, hailing from Negros Occidental.
- Filipino diplomat Rosario Manalo was appointed by Myanmar President Win Myint to lead an independent commission that will investigate alleged human rights violations in the Rakhine state.
- Eight states are filing suit against the Trump administration over its decision to allow a Texas company to publish downloadable blueprints for a 3D-printed gun, contending the hard-to-trace plastic weapons are a boon to terrorists and criminals and threaten public safety.
- A pair of wildfires that prompted evacuation orders for almost 20,000 people barreled Monday toward a small lake towns in Northern California, and authorities faced questions about how quickly they warned residents about the largest and deadliest blaze burning in the state. The recent wildfires became 9th most destructive in history.
- A Malaysian-led independent investigation report released Monday, more than four years after Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared, highlighted shortcomings in the government’s response and raised the possibility of “intervention by a third party.”
- Audi will present their PB18 e-tron concept at this August's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
- The July update for the GT SPORT PS4 game is now live, featuring the brand new Circuit de St. Croix original track and seven new cars, including the Honda S660 and the Mercedes-AMG F1 W08 EQ Power+ used in the F1 2017 season.
