WALWAL

The term "walwal" is just a synonym for the popular phrase "YOLO", meaning You Only Live Once and in this month's offering from Star Cinema, a four young men are trying to live their lives to the fullest as they've reached the critical stage of their adulthood.

WALWAL

Starring Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, Kiko Estrada, Donny Pangilingan, Kisses Delavin, Devon Seron, Jane De Leon, and Sofia Senoron, WALWAL is about four young men who've known each other since high school and now college sophomores as they tag themselves to face the biggest changes of their lives, no matter how good, bad, and rough things are going to be.

This latest offering reminded us of all the youth films from the past such as TRIP, JOLOGS, GIMIK The Reunion, The Reunion, and many others because while this is basically a youth-focused film that brings WALWAL to a whole new meaning, there's so much to get accommodated with this film. With a blend of laughter, sadness, and anger in store for them, this film really is a mixed bag of emotions that won't go unnoticed and such emotions really portray the millennials of today because this is how you, I, and the rest do most of the time.

While this film can be utterly described as above average, WALWAL is the ideal barkada film that you can spend your weekends with your pals and discover what real friendship is all about.

My rating: 3.9 out of 5
