- A new low pressure area has formed west of Pampanga but has small chance of turning into a tropical cyclone. PAGASA said the LPA was inside the country’s area of responsibility or 190 kilometers west of Clark, Pampanga around Wednesday morning.

- The presidential spokesperson said that President Rodrigo Duterte will not issue an apology to the Catholic doctrines following last weekend's controversial verbal attacks on the said religion.

- The Iglesia Ni Cristo's Lingap sa Mamamayan outreach program was successfully held in two African countries recently. The nation's most influential religious sect hosted outreach activities in Kibera and Kawangware in Nairobi, Kenya on June 23 and 24 after holding similar activities in Blantyre and Samama Vil. Mangochi in Malawi on June 19 and 20. Over 33,000 Lingap attendees were provided assistance.

- The SCOTUS upheld the Trump administration's controversial travel ban which restricts entry from seven countries to varying degrees: Iran, North Korea, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Venezuela. In a 5-4 vote, Chief Justice John Roberts called the travel ban constitutional and if that wasn't enough, Roberts declared that the 1944 Korematsu v. United States case was "no longer good law and was wrongly decided."

- China reaffirms its threats to take down “independence separatist plots” by self-governing Taiwan, following the recent passage of Chinese navy ships through the Taiwan Strait. Spokesman for the Cabinet’s Taiwan Affairs Office Ma Xiaoguang made the comments Wednesday in response to a question about whether the mission by a destroyer and cruiser was intended as a warning to the island’s independence-leaning government.

- South Africa starts tax service inquiry after allegations of misconduct by the suspended head of the South African Revenue Service and its failure to collect as much tax as expected in recent years. President Cyril Ramaphosa, who replaced Jacob Zuma as head of state in February and has promised to crack down on graft, established the inquiry in May saying it was a priority to shore up the revenue collection agency.

- The Colombian government said it has authorized the use of herbicide drones against a record surge in cocaine production. The decision was announced a day after a White House report said that land devoted to coca production in Colombia had surged to a record 209,000 hectares (516,450 acres) last year.

- Aston Martin revived the DBS name as the flagship grand tourer called the DBS Superleggera. The new model is powered by an improved version of Aston's 5.2L V12 Twin Turbo producing 725PS of power and while mated to an 8-speed AT, it has a top speed of 211mph with a 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds.

- The Yo-Kai Watch fifth anniversary offering is actually a new AR mobile game called Yo-Kai Watch World. Made in collaboration with GungHo and powered by Google Maps, this new mobile game allows smartphone users to find, battle, and befriend different Yo-Kai characters. They can even set their favorite Yo-Kai as their partner, or battle bosses cooperatively with other players. It's now available to download on the App Store and Google Play.
