Faced with a wild weekend weather conditions that plagued across the United States of America, NASCAR delayed Sunday's Food City 500 race of the 2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Series, but with the weather turned from rainy to cloudy and with Bristol Motor Speedway now dried up, the race goes on where everything is possible in a race proud enough for its catchphrase; IT'S BRISTOL, BABY!
Here's what it sums up. On Lap 4, an 8-car wrecked was triggered with Chase Elliot and Martin Truex Jr. caught in the crazy mix. With six laps to go in the first stage, another one occurred with the #51 and the #12 got caught in a collision course. With the race restarted, Kyle Larson got ahead but then the rain dropped, triggering a race delay that lasted until 1300 hours local time. With 176 laps to go at this race, Kyle Larson got knocked off by Ryan Newman and then Kyle Busch goes for the offensive. But then, with six two go, the duel between the two Kyles got interrupted by the sudden appearance of Kurt Busch and there you go.
Kurt Busch nailed his second race in a row and his seventh Bristol win in his career.
Next race is on Richmond Raceway for the Toyota Owners 400 this 21st of April.
