2018 Verizon IndyCar Series - Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

It's a new season for the Verizon IndyCar Series and it kicked off with a 110 lap race at the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, for the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg where spectators are witnessing who will spearhead this new season when the race ends.

This race has been one heck of a accident-prone match, which is quite a messy way to start this season. At the start, we see Robert Wiggins and Will Power gunning for the lead but ended up in a minor accident, then followed by Tony Kanaan got involved in a minor accident as well. Also, Scott Dixon made the unexpected when his passing through Takuma Sato on Lap 35 gone wrong but braved his way through sixth place. In the latter stages of the race, just as we though Robert Wiggins has no problems driving through St. Petersburg but some fender-bender prompted this race for a late race restart, where Alexander Rossi and Wiggins got involved in a fender bender that send the rookie crashing with the wall.

Sebastien Bourdais, the Frenchman, is named the winner of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, followed by Graham Rahal, and Alexander Rossi.
