- Former President Benigno Aquino III and his budget secretary Florencio Abad will attend today's Congress hearing on the Dengvaxia vaccine controvery as resource persons. Aquino's health secretary Janette Garin has also been called to attend the hearing, along with numerous officials of the Duterte administration.

- The Senate Committee on Science Technology and Committee on Energy are holding a joint hearing on the exploration studies on Benham Rise and the West Philippine Sea. Local scientists, top military and government officials are expected to attend the inquiry to discuss the research conducted by China on Benham Rise.

- The Bureau of Immigration is set to deport a Korean wanted in Seoul for $8M fraud. In a statement, the Immigration said that its Fugitive Search Unit arrested Jung Hyojin, 35, in Malate, Manila on Feburary 22. He is currently detained at the facility in Bicutan, Taguig, pending deportation.

- Allies of the Duterte administration in Congress are moving to again postpone the scheduled Barangay and SK elections to October. This is to piggybank on a plebiscite on the proposed Charter Change, which will include provisions for term extension and the scrapping of the 2019 midterm polls, according to Senate Minority Leaer Franklin Drilon.

- The death of an Indonesian maid highlights Malaysia's failure to protect domestic helpers despite repeated government pledges, according to critics. Adelina Sau died earlier this month in hospital a day after being rescued from her employer's house in Penang, with wounds covering her body. Her employer was charged with her murder this week, and in Indonesia, two people have been arrested on human-trafficking charges for allegedly using fake documents to send her abroad.

- Czech authorities detained a former leader of a Syrian Kurdish party under an Interpol red notice that was based on Turkey's request for his arrest, according to Turkish and Syrian Kurdish officials. Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Salih Muslim, former co-chair of the Democratic Union Party was "caught."

- Volkswagen confirms the addition of a convertible variant of their T-Roc compact crossover and it will be unveiled on 2020.

- Groupe PSA takes majority stake in Naza's Gurun plant and plans to produce CKD units of Peugoet 3008 this year followed by a Citroen C5 Aircross next year.

- The editorial staff of Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics issued an apology over their depiction of Mongol Empire founder Genghis Khan in the recent issue that caused a stir in the public, including Mongolian residents in Japan and the Embassy of Mongolia in Tokyo.

- Nickelodeon denies rumors that they will ending SpongeBob this week and assured that their next season will air next year, which is a lot because next year marks SpongeBob's 20th anniversary.


- Disney has announced two new series coming to Disney Channel next year, Amphibia and Owl House.

- Actor Mark Bautista admits that he was a victim of sexual abuse
