THREATS FROM NORTH KOREA: Trade and NoKor's nuclear provocations top of Trump's agenda
Even before he embarked on his Asian tour, US President Donald Trump stressed that trade and threats from North Korea would be top of his agenda.
During his stay, Trump said the two leaders were also able to reach a deal where Japan will buy large amounts of American military equipment, which he referred to as the best in the world. In South Korea, he said that South Korea will be ordering more American equipment, which will help America reduce its trade deficit and at the same time, help both countries defend against threats from North Korea.
During Trump's China visit, President Xi Jinping announced that both US and China signed trade deals worth over 253 billion dollars. Here, President Xi said China's investment in the US is rising rapidly, creating over 140,000 jobs for the local people. He also confirmed that Chinese companies will sign commercial contracts worth over 250 billion dollars, which reflects the "win-win nature" of US-China economic relations.
Experts believe Donald Trump's Asia trip seems to be successful on his aims to pressure fair trade.
