- PAGASA said Ramil (Damrey) has intensified into a tropical storm as it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility. As of 1000 hours, the storm is traced at 365km west of Coron, Palawan and its forecasted to leave the country by Friday.

- The Commission on Audit has recommended a probe on the Department of Budget and Management and other government agencies over the allegedly unlawful releases of P38.807 billion drawn from the proceeds of the Malampaya natural gas project.

- President Rodrigo Duterte has reorganized Task Force Bangon Marawi two weeks after the liberation of Marawi from Islamic extremists, appointing the housing czar as the head of rehabilitation efforts. Signed on October 27, Administrative Order 9 amends Administrative Order 3, which created an inter-agency task force last July to take charge of the recovery and rehabilitation of Marawi. Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council head Eduardo Del Rosario, a retired Army general, was designated as the chairperson of the task force.

- Thailand's military government has emerged from the year of official mourning for King Bhumibol Adulyadej with a firm grip on power and in no apparent rush to hold elections it has repeatedly delayed four years since the coup.

- The recent Russia probe raises the stakes of US President Donald Trump's Asia visit this month. Right now, the President is scheduled to leave the country this Friday for a 12-day, five country trip across Asia.

- Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, yesterday, won US approval for the new treatment for people with rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

- The Houston Astros won their first-ever World Series title after defeating the LA Dodgers at the tie-breaking Game 7 at the score of 5-1.

- Toyota celebrates 20 years of Prius with two special models; one comes with Toyota Safety Sense P and the other with special cosmetic treatments inside and out.



- Aston Martin unleashed the final special edition for the Vanquish S, called the Ultimate. Limited to 175 cars worldwide, in Coupe or Volante variants, the Vanquish S Ultimate comes with three Designer Themes as well as carbon fibre side strakes featuring rose gold 'Ultimate' decals, carbon fibre tread plates and an 'Ultimate' sill plaque, a special stitched quilting design on the seats, plus 'Ultimate' headrest embroidery.



- Amazon announced that The Grand Tour returns for Season 2 on the 8th of December.

- Disney officially announced the cast of the upcoming live-action Lion King film, coming this Summer 2019. With James Earl Jones reprising as Mufasa and Donald Glover playing the role of Simba, the officially announced cast includes Beyonce as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu, John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, and more.

- Former AKB48 member and current HKT48 member Rino Sashihara commented on the recent report of a certain AKB48 fan illegally dumped 585 CDs and arrested by Fukuoka authorities.
