- After yesterday's meeting with US President Donald Trump, President Rodrigo Duterte said that he only opposes some US officials who did not agree with his policies, mostly Democrats. Trump called the Philippines a "strategic" piece of real estate and he gave the biggest support to the Duterte administration's brutal campaign against drugs.

- Senator Grace Poe tells the Department of Transportation to focus on improving the country's train system to prevent further accidents and glitches from happening again.

- After yesterday's summit, the Philippines and Japan will work together for the funding of the Manila subway and the rehabilitation of the war-torn Marawi city, while New Zealand will collaborate with the Philippines for the improvement of tertiary education.

- Filipino performers expressed their concerns and disappointments in social media over the cancellation of the ASEAN music fest at the Ayala Triangle Gardens last night.

- IAC chairman Barry Diller told in an interview that he doesn't care what the FCC does or doesn't do about net neutrality, which FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is expected to propose that rollback next week, because he doesn't think that neutrality can now be violated. His interview came after some lawmakers calling for the government to apply the same kind of neutrality restrictions on edge providers as are on ISPs.

- Rian Johnson, who serves as the writer-director of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi film is set to create another Star Wars trilogy of films.
