2017 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup - Ford EcoBoost 400

Homestead-Miami Raceway, the final destination of the Monster Energy NASCAR Championship and where the trail of the Championship 4 ends there as Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Brad Keselowski are going all out to show the world who will be worthy of the trophy.

It's also where the trail of Dale Earnhardt Jr ends following his shocking announcement that he will retire from NASCAR after this season and following his announcement, most of his sponsors are paying tribute to the #88. Other than Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch is not signing up for next year's season while Matt Kenseth announces he will step away from this sport indefinitely. Recently, Danica Patrick, the only female driver in NASCAR, sadly announced her departure from being a full-time driver but she will drive for next year's Daytona 500.

With all that emotional farewell from some of the well-known drivers going on, let's recap on what's happening in the final leg of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series;

In Lap 60, Jimmie Johnson's car faces light damage from the right side and he's off to the pits for new tires. In Lap 80, Kyle Larson wins Stage 1 but Keselowski's leading in the Championship 4. In Lap 142, Danica Patrick's career came to a fiery end when she collided with the wall and later hit by a car behind her, causing her car to burst flames and she's out. In Lap 160, Larson nabs another stage win but Martin Truex Jr. leads the Championship 4.

At the end of this 400-mile race in Homestead-Miami, the winner of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup is Martin Truex Jr. The 37-year-old driver has turned his tragedy into triumph as he did it for his team owner, who suffered heart attack, and for his long-time girlfriend, who struggles with ovarian cancer.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., who now retires from this sport and an impressive career, managed to say kind words to Truex Jr.
