Let's Do The News! (July 13, 2017)

- President Rodrigo Duterte labeled Cebu as a "hot spot" for illegal drugs, including its police. In his speech during the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, the President said that Visayas has been poisoned since it became a gateway for drugs.

- Palawan is once again named World's Best Island for 2017 according to Travel Plus Leisure, an influential travel magazine based in New York.

- Two low pressure areas are being monitored by PAGASA in the eastern and western part of the Philippines that will bring rains in the huge part of the country.

- The National Bureau of Investigation has filed a case against the man behind the viral post in social media showing his alleged bank details at the Bank of Philippine Islands.

- Chinese Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo is in critical condition and his breathing is failing, according to the hospital treating him. Liu, a prominent participant in the Tiananmen pro-democracy protests of 1989, was jailed for 11 years in 2009 for “inciting subversion of state power” after helping to write a petition known as “Charter 08” calling for sweeping political reforms.

- Americans across the country have participated in a nationwide Day of Action to save Net Neutrality from FCC chairman Ajit Pai's plot to cannibalize Title II and allow ISPs freedom to do what they offer, basically taking away net neutrality. Part of the protests include slowing down internet connection for a day to demonstrate what it is like when the Trump-led FCC suppressed net neutrality.

- LEVC showcased their new TX eCity, set to be commissioned on London by the end of 2018. Replacing the current RX range, the new London cab will be powered by 1.3L range extending petrol engine, batteries, and an electric motor for a total range of 400 miles and over 70 miles on electric power alone.

It's available to order starting at 1,668,600 Japanese Yen.

- To celebrate the upcoming Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You, a Nendoroid of Ash Ketchum (Satoshi) and Pikachu has been unveiled. This will be their 800th Nendoroid ever unveiled and it's now available to order starting at 4,630 Yen plus tax and delivery and arrives this December 2017.
