Welcome back. Here is your current sitrep:
- Iraq has launched a military ops against Islamic State in Tikrit, the hometown of the late, infamous, dictator Saddam Hussein, according to media reports.
- There was a viral video featuring policemen killed a homeless man after an altercation in central Los Angeles. It's about a violent struggle between the hobo and cops in the city's Skid Row area.
- Two ballistic missiles launched by North Korea from its west coast into the Sea of Japan on Monday morning. The first missile was launched at 0630 hours Japan time and the second at 0639 hours Japan time, traveled about 480 kms before impact at sea. It is believed to be their responseto the US-South Korea joint military drills recently started.
- Meanwhile, 200,000 South Korean troops and 12,000 US personnel are taking part in their biggest joint military drills despite North Korea fired two ICBMs off the coast. The drills involve computer simulations of localized military provocations by the NoKor and signs of missile attacks.
- 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the Tokyo subway gas attacks that killed 13 people and sickened over 6,300 people last March 20, 1995 by the religious cult Aum Shinrikyo. According to analysis, about 800 of the 5,002 people who were able to confirm that the site of the attack occurred in Kasumigaseki subway station. About 1,700 believed to be at Kodenmacho, and 1,540 victims were affected after they got off the train.
- Russian citizens are protesting through Moscow in memory of the slain opposition leader Boris Nemtsov. Over 40,000 protesters took part in the 2km march through the center of the Russian capital city on Sunday.
- A couple of days ago, actor and Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla was hospitalized for gunshot wound. It is believed that the actor-politician threatened to commit suicide and some say, he was shot at the chest at the house of the Revillas at Ayala, Alabang, Muntinlupa City, last February 28. Maybe because he faced depression ever since his father, Bong Revilla Jr., was jailed over his alleged involvement in the PDAF scam.
- Sexy actress Aubrey Miles preps her TV comeback by acting in an upcoming ABS-CBN drama, Pasion de Amor.
- Warner Bros. will be making a movie version of Cartoon Network's mathematical animated TV show, Adventure Time! And it gets better because the producers will be the ones involved from The LEGO Movie. That's right. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!! Who's excited to see Finn and Jake at the big screen?!
