It's USA vs the world as the boys from Top Gear USA are comparing American exotics and see if they have the willpower to take down the Europeans.
Rut goes for the old Saleen S7, Adam goes for the Rossion Q1, which is more of an Americanized version of the Noble M400, and Tanner opts for the Lucra sportscar.
For their first challenge, they went to Beverly Hills and see which car gets photographed the most. Thanks to Adams cunning attempt, the Rossion really is a head-turner.
Then, it's off to the Mojave Desert for their next challenge. It's drag racing and the fastest of the three is the Lucra thanks to its power-to-weight ratio.
Next up, the boys are trying to get through the car's claimed top speed. The Lucra LC470 has a top speed of 180mph but Tanner managed to get 162. The S7 has a top speed of an estimated 199mph but Rutledge done it in 160mph. The Q1 has a 189mph but for Adam, that's 145mph. On this challenge, that's another win for the LC470.
Now, it's USA vs Europe. For Adam, his Q1 will go up against the Ferrari 458 Italia. Of course, the European supercar enemies will be driven by themselves while their American rides will be driven by The Stig. The Rossion won against the Ferrari but can the S7 keep up against the Lamborghini LP700-4? The answer, yes. Surprisingly well. Meanwhile, Tanner in the Porsche GT3 vs Stig in the Lucra. Race boy vs the tamed racing driver.
Even when Tanner get whacked by The Stig, American exotics win the challenge.
Tanner wins overall and he's all out to try out the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.
The power test involves how good the SLS Black is and even though it's a supercar, it corners very well. But to that, he has a race against time at Southern California's Highway 74. One of the most dangerous roads in America and he's got 10 minutes to get through.
Rain or shine, it's still worth a challenge and with less than a minute. the SLS Black made it. Tanner managed to beat the clock even in drizzling conditions.
