Let's Do The News! (June 1, 2013)

JM: And now the news, and yes, Vauxhall revealed the all new VXR8. Here it is now...

2014 Vauxhall VXR8
(ooohh)

JM: Yep. Still sourced from Australia like the original, but now comes with the same 6.2-litre V8 that powers the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 so it produces about 576bhp of power and 545lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful VXR8 yet.

JC: I had to say that 576bhp of power is quite more than enough to eat the E63 AMG and the M5 for breakfast but the question is by what margin?

RH: Well, I don't know. Unless you're Aussie, you'll say...ahem (in Australian accent) Strewth!

(audience laughing)

JC: Indeed it was but since this is just a muscle car with four doors, I bet I'm looking forward to try out the best VXR8 ever. Okay, while sticking on the General Motors issue, Chevrolet revealed their emergency minor change for the...um...Malibu. Here it is...

2014 Chevrolet Malibu
JC: You know, why did Chevrolet facelifted a car that was launched a year ago? How's that possible?

RH: Well, in my theory, maybe because of the build quality issues because when it was launched two years ago in South Korea, it doesn't seem quite bothering to them and then in China, Europe, and Australia as a Holden Malibu. But in the US, it's a different story because they didn't like it and they have migrated to its Asian rivals. So to solve this, the front face for the 2014 Malibu took some styling inspirations from its big brother, the Impala. Also, the new 2.5L engine for the Malibu is rather too focused on fuel economy rather than performance...

JC: Huh? So, there has been a power drop like what just happened on the...well, you know...

RH: Yep. Minus one for the power output and less torquey as well, all in the name of fuel economy of 35mpg highway thanks to some start-stop system that shuts the engine off when stopped and then start again when you set off. It also comes with a turbocharged 2.0L variant which now comes with added torque. Too bad we still not having a word from UK Chevrolet when we will get one. I mean look...

JC: Too American...As American as a Big Mac...

(audience laughing)

JC: And I can't believe I ate some Big Mac during lunch time...  He he he.... Anyway, moving on and some tragic news that while two weeks ago, a massive tornado hits Oklahoma which sends ten-thousands of homes crushed. Anyone heard the news? Now, recently, another strong tornado hits Oklahoma city and all we can hope now for the safety of Oklahomans is...well, like we always do...PRAY.

RH: Indeed. I'd suggest you guys shall pray for the safety of Oklahomans, especially those from Tornado Alley. Stay safe!

(applause)

JC: Okay, now moving on... You know those Wikipedia pages we often use for referential purposes? Yep, we often use this site for something something everyday, especially looking on what's what behind our favorite stuff. You guys use Wikipedia, right? Hands up...

(some audience raising hands)

JC: Anyway, I just found something on the internet that there's a list of 100 most "controversial" topics in Japanese Wikipedia page defined by the number of edits.

(audience laughing)

RH: Define "controversial" and "number of edits", can these user-generated articles from the Wikipedia page can't get any worse than that?

JC: Beats me. 100 most controversial topics in Japanese Wikipedia but let me tell you a hint. The number one topic of dispute in the US Wikipedia was...wait for it...wait for it...former US President George W. Bush because of the number of edit wars when it comes to grammar, references, so on, so forth. But, we're tackling on the top 100 topics from Japanese Wikipedia and here's the list...written in Japanese. Ready?

JM: Uh...can't we shorten it up to top 10? I'm afraid we won't have much time mentioning 100 controversial topics straight from the Wikipedia Japan.

(audience laughing)

JC: Thanks James for your consideration. Anyway, due to time constraints, let's just mention the ten most controversial Wikipedia Japan topics, okay? Here goes...

RH: Hmmm...Kinda interesting that AKB48 and ONE PIECE were on that list and...what's that on the number one list?

JC: Probably says...“zainichi Koreans.

(audience laughing)

JM: Anyway, enough about that stuff and that's the end of the news. Anyway, while on the topic of which is the best P&F song of all time since Gitchee Gitchee Goo, do you think There's s Platypus Controlling Me is the best P&F song of all time? Or what about AGLET?
