It's been a year since its debut in Japan but the new Suzuki Siwft (ZC72S) wants to make it more fuel efficient so that's why the XG and the XL variants of the JDM Suzuki Swift gets the all new Idling Stop function, a first from Suzuki.

Slated to be available this September 13 at your nearest Suzuki dealerships, the new Idling Stop variants give the Swift's K12B engine a fuel economy boost of 25km/L on the 10-15 Mode scale and 21.8km/L on the JC08 Mode scale. What amazes them is that the idling stop function shuts off the K12B engine automatically when stopped at the red light.
Price for the Suzuki Swift XG Idling Stop starts at 1,338,750 Japanese Yen while the XL Idling Stop starts at 1,412,250 Japanese Yen!
