Imortal finale |
Every Filipinos around the world experienced the grand finale of the fantasy-drama Imortal. On that finale, Lia Ortega (Angel Locsin) formed an Army of One, an army where humans, werewolves and vampires collide to stop Magnus (Jake Roxas), Lucas (Rico Blanco) and his formidable foe of ultimate monsters that will wipe out humanity once and for all.
As the war rages on, with Magnus neutralized, and Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz) freed (gotta love his motorbike stunts), we witnessed the final showdown. A two versus one battle that will made me put it on the books. Mateo and Lia face off against Lucas in an intense battle.
Seems Lucas is impossible to defeat. No matter how hard these two tried, they still can't kick Lucas' butt. With all that suffering, the combined powers between Mateo and Lia shattered Lucas into pieces, resulting to the end of the battle.
The army of one finally defeated the ultimate enemy and moments later, Lia gave birth to a baby girl. Lia told her baby girl that everything will be OK. Mateo also said it too that everything will be OK.
Final Impressions: Imortal might seem to be inspired from Twilight because of werewolves and vampires we, teenagers and young adults believed. What I'll miss is the superb stunts, amazing fight scenes, the love story between Lia and Mateo, and of course, what we also miss is Jethro's blogs called Mga Pangitain ni Jethro (which is somewhat amusing that someone found it and Jethro's blog exists but now its done). This is an impressive masterpiece ABS-CBN pulled out to surpass its rivals and with this finale, they achieved everything they've got to pleased the teenagers and young adults with their desire among vampires and werewolves. Cheers to the cast and staff!
